Publication of the Colorado Revised Statutes occurs several months following the end of each regular legislative session. Prior to such publication, the Office of Legislative Legal Services prepares the Digest of Bills and concurrent resolutions as required under section 2-3-504, C.R.S. The Digest consists of summaries of all bills and concurrent resolutions enacted by the Sixty-sixth General Assembly at its First Regular Session ending May 8, 2002. The summaries include the dates bills are approved and the effective dates of the bills.

In response to the high rate of opioid-related addiction and deaths in Colorado, the Colorado General Assembly created the Opioid and Other Substance Use Disorders Study Committee.

During the 2019 legislative session, the General Assembly considered a variety of issues related to telecommunications and information technology (IT), including blockchain technology, broadband, and new requirements for the Governor's Office of Information Technology (OIT).

CONSUMER PRICE INDEX - December 2016 Forecast

There are 86 courthouse facilities in Colorado: 71 courthouses and 15 probation offices.  This issue brief provides an overview of court and court facility funding.  Specifically, information is provided on state, county, and municipal court funding requirements and state supplemental funding grants available to assist counties with court security and facility costs.

Senate Bill 17-267, enacted during the 2017 legislative session, changes many aspects of fiscal policy for the state.  This issue brief summarizes the bill’s principal components.

Approximately one-third of new students entering Colorado’s public four-year institutions of higher education are transfer students from another school.  This issue brief provides an overview of credit transfers between public institutions of higher education in Colorado, including the guaranteed transfer pathways (gtPathways) program, statewide transfer articulation agreements, and other options available to students.

Focus Colorado presents forecasts for the economy and state government revenue through FY 2019-20. Implications of the forecast for the state's General Fund budget and spending limit are described in the report's highlights and executive summary sections. Laws passed during the 2019 session related to local government addressed a number of topics.  This summary provides an overview of legislation concerning safety, county operations, special districts, property rights, business owners, and emergency service providers.

During the 2019 legislative session, the General Assembly considered measures related to a variety of elections topics, including campaign finance, electioneering communications, lobbying disclosures, local elections, and voter registration and voting.  No bills concerning redistricting were consider by the General Assembly this session.
